Urban Adult Contemporary radio stations

Urban Adult Contemporary developed as a radio format aimed at mature R&B audiences, drawing on contemporary R&B, soul, quiet storm and selected older favourites while avoiding the harder rap emphasis of younger urban formats. Its roots are in Black-oriented American radio, where programming evolved to serve listeners who wanted current music without abandoning established soul and R&B.
