88vier war ein nicht-kommerzielles Hörfunkprojekt der Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb), welches seit Mai 2010 auf den UKW-Frequenzen 88,4 MHz (Berlin) und 90,7 MHz (Potsdam) sendete. Mit dem Pilotprojekt sollte „eine Plattform für nichtkommerzielle Radioanbieter in der Berliner und Brandenburger Hörfunklandschaft“ etabliert werden.
Mit der neuen Audiostrategie der mabb zur Digitalisierung des Hörfunks endete die Verbreitung nichtkommerzieller Radiosender auf UKW in Berlin und Brandenburg und damit auch das Projekt 88vier. Nach einem zweieinhalbjährigen Simulcastbetrieb auf DAB+ ab Mitte 2023 wurden die UKW Zuweisungen an die nichtkommerziellen Radios zum 31. Dezember 2025 beendet und die Frequenzen für kommerzielle Nutzung neu ausgeschrieben. Die beteiligten Berliner und Brandenburger nichtkommerziellen Radios sind ebenso wie der offene Kanal weiter auf DAB+ empfangbar: im Kanal 7D Berlin unter den Kennungen FR-BB und 24/3 im Kanal 12D Berlin-Brandenburg u. als Radiokombinat und Alex Radio.
