Rai − Radiotelevisione Italiana S.p.A., conosciuta come Rai, è una società pubblica italiana controllata dallo Stato italiano attraverso il Ministero dell'economia e delle finanze e concessionaria in esclusiva del servizio pubblico radiofonico e televisivo in Italia. È il primo polo televisivo in Italia e una delle più grandi aziende di comunicazione d'Europa, nonché il quarto gruppo televisivo del continente.
Nata nel 1924 a Torino con il nome di Unione Radiofonica Italiana (URI), divenne Ente Italiano per le Audizioni Radiofoniche (EIAR) nel 1927, poi Radio Audizioni Italia (RAI) nel 1944, e infine RAI − Radiotelevisione Italiana nel 1954. La storica sede di Roma in viale Mazzini 14 è attualmente impegnata in lavori di ristrutturazione. La sede legale e tutti gli uffici sono temporaneamente spostati in via Alessandro Severo 246.
